Personal Investment Equals Better Success (& More Power!)

We live in a modern, digital age where there truly LAZY can have just about their every whim sated. There’s little left for anyone to really do other than push buttons since most of the grunt work is being done by slave labor in third world nations like Cambodia, China, India and so on where people work for an entire day what here in the US someone is paid for one hour’s worth of work.

Our modern music sucks because it is devoid of any semblance of emotion and feeling since all you need is just a singer and a computer. And if you can’t sing, you can find software to alter your shitty voice so you sound passable as a singer. In a way today we live in a marvel of a time because of these technological wonders. But there’s one thing missing: personal investment.

For instance, today you can download a song that some schmuck uploaded at a whim because he may have decided he doesn’t like the band ___ so he wants to screw them over and give their new song away free to everyone just to piss the band off and chet them out of any fair monies they could make. “But Moloch, back in the day, we copied songs from the radio, cassettes and records onto cassettes and traded/gave them to others! What’s the difference?”

Plenty! First you had to buy the blank cassette (unless you stole it ya damn thief) then you had to spend time listening to the radio and waiting patiently for the song to come on so you could record it thus you invested time. If you recorded an album or dubbed it from another cassette, you still had to spend the time to set it up and record it. Digital ignores all of that. With digital there’s no investment of you at all. None. Period.

If you borrowed a book from someone to read and copy from, you sat there with either a blank book and pen or some loose leaf pages and a pen and you wrote the pages out by what we called long hand. Time consuming? Yes and it’s called personal investment of time, energy and effort. You don’t get that when you download a book.

See, you punks today are LAZY. All you really want is “McMagic”. You’re just like your McWiccan counterparts who simply show up and pretend to give a shit and are there to put on their drama show for everyone. You’re not interested in real JuJu that works, you want to pare everything down to where it’s so watered down that there’s nothing left that originally looks like the original spell or ritual. That’s not magic; instead that’s McMagic.

You’ve been conditioned to think the Spiritual world owes you something. It doesn’t. You don’t invest anything personal into this so why should the spirits give a rat’s ass what your problems are? You thieve books and don’t even bother to hand copy them into a blank book, (even the passages that you actually care about!) and yet you assume their JuJu should work equally well when you have done jack shit to earn respect from the world of the spirits.

Seriously, look at yourself in the mirror and ask, “HOW can I expect results when I’m not willing to invest in myself?” You’re willing to waste money on bullshit you know you don’t need yet you refuse to buy a book because hey that would cost you a nickel and help an author out. Thus you steal the author’s book, especially the ones still alive, and use it without thought to his or her hard work. You’re a piece of shit and you think the world of the spirits should respect your commands to do what you tell them? Seriously? You're deluded!

Your issue is you fail to see that you have not invested anything be it time, money or effort into this for the author, their book, its system or even the spirits and yet you want money, fame, power, authority, happiness, success, love and more. In other words you want something for nothing. Sorry Charlie, it doesn’t work this way. I hate to tell you but the spirits are real and they put limitations on how much JuJu you can command and use. (As well they should!) When you decide to stop being an ass and start personally investing in your magic and sorcery by buying the books you need or borrowing and hand copying them (like you should!) then perhaps your JuJu will get stronger and more potent.

So your issues need to be resolved. These issues are laziness and stinginess. You can resolve the latter easiest by simply buying the books, even the used ones. Yes I fully understand the used book market is often high dollar to invest in. *shrugs* Take it from someone who has been gouged before it’s not fun. Now with that said, IF you are patient, watchful and wary, you CAN find just about any book you want at an affordable price on any of the used sites out there from Amazon to eBay to Half.com to Abe Books. Just be patient and watchful. I’ve built up my own collection this way and not paid more than $60 for any used book that I wanted badly by doing this with the vast majority of them under $30. If I can do this, you can as well.

Look, you have all sorts of $$$ to blow on bullshit you do NOT need to be spiritual like cigarettes and tobacco, liquor and beer, marijuana and street drugs, junk food, concert and movie tickets, pizza, Tchotchke junk (re: occult/esoteric knick–knacks), and other stuff you don’t need YET if someone asks you to spend $15-$30 for an occult/spiritual book, OMG! Screw you! That’s just too damn much money! I can’t afford that! Really? You’re a liar and you need to stop with your nonsense and take a good hard look at yourself. The magicians in Agrippa’s day didn’t pull this crap and those that did weren’t anyone of important note who aren't remembered today so do you want to be someone remembered down the road or someone forgotten?

Even if you borrow a book from the library and stand at a photocopying machine dropping in quarters to photocopy the pages that you’re only interested in, THAT’S at least investing in it! Hello? Your time and money is being spent. Same if you spend time long hand copying passages or *whew* the entire book. The spirits RESPECT this. They respect practitioners who spend time, money and energy trying to better themselves, not the lazy cretins trying to get something for nothing. Remember that the next time you’re trying to figure out why your JuJu isn’t working the way it ought to or the way you think it should.

How to Make Your N.A.P. Book A Talisman of Power

How to Make Your N.A.P. Book
A Talisman of Power
by Brother MOLOCH 9.6.9.
© April 2016 molochsorcery.com All Rights Reserved

For this rite to actually work, you must do one of these two things:

1. Buy an original copy of the the Miracle of the New Avatar Power by Geoff Gray-Cobb.

Or...

2. Copy by hand the how-to contents (minus the case stories) from N.A.P. into a special, brand new, blank book.

The reason for this is that you are showing the spirits you mean business. Just downloading a pirated copy and printing it off shows no personal sacrifice from you, in any way - be it time, effort nor monetary.

You will need:
Your N.A.P. Book
Holy Water
Holy Oil
Blessed Salt
Incense: frankincense & myrrh
2 white work candles (votive, tea light, Shabbat, household or taper are fine)
1 white candle

Instructions:

Pour your Holy Water into a convenient spray bottle. (Most department and dollar stores sell them.) Spritz the candles to wash away any ill affects they may have accumulated and wipe them clean with fresh paper towels. Dress your candles with the Holy oil and place in suitable candle holders. The two work candles you will place at the rear of your work table, one on the right and one on the left. The third white candle will be set in the middle of the work table. Incense holder can be placed anywhere on your work table that’s convenient for you.

Begin by facing east and light your right rear work candle then your left rear work candle.

Now light your incense.

Say, “I call out to the spirits of the New Avatar Power system to witness this ritual and to make it holy, sacred and binding!”

Spritz the eastern corner once with the Holy Water.

Bow (Do this by slightly by bending your knees and coming straight back up without bending forward thus you’re curtsying.)

Next you will turn right and face west. Repeat the sentence you said in the east, bow and spritz with Holy Water once again. Then you will turn left until you face north. Repeat the sentence, bow and spritz with Holy Water. Turn right to face the south. Repeat as you have in the other three corners. You are ready to begin.

Set the bottle of Holy Water on your work table. Relax and begin your Miracle of the New Avatar Power relaxation ritual.

When finished, begin the Central Pillar ritual.

Then perform the New Avatar Power Circulation ritual.

Next, perform the New Avatar Power Fountain ritual.

Finally, recite the Invocation to Strengthen the Fountain of Your New Avatar Power.

When finished, you will say, “Spirits of the system of the New Avatar Power!” (Lift your N.A.P. book aloft) “I bring this book to you. I have duly sacrificed for it. You are witness to this sacrifice. I ask that you turn this book into a talisman of power so that any time I use it in any ritual manner I choose, it adds to the strength and power of the ritual!”

Now hold your NAP book and pass it gently through the flame of the center white candle and say, “In the presence of the New Avatar spirits, I baptize thee with flame!”

Pass the book gently through the incense smoke and say, “In the presence of the New Avatar spirits, I baptize thee with air!”

Hold book and sprinkle with some salt and say, “In the presence of the New Avatar spirits, I baptize thee with earth!”

Then hold the book and using just a tiny bit of Holy Oil on the tip of your dominant hand’s index finger, gently rub it on the spine of the book and say, “In the presence of the New Avatar spirits, I baptize thee with water!”

Now, facing east, hold the book aloft and gently mist the air above the book with the Holy Water. Allow the misty vapor to land on the book. (You can immediately wipe it off with a clean, fresh paper towel.) As you mist, you will say, “I baptize you, O book of New Avatar Power, as my personal grimoire of power. Work for me and I shall care for you until the end of my days. So be it!”

Now you will bow and then turn right and face west and mist again allowing the vapor to gently land on your book and wipe it off and repeat what you did in the east then repeat each step by turning to the north and then the south. (Remember, you start in the east, then turn right to the west, then turn left to the north then turn right to the south.)

When finished, your book is consecrated. Let it set on your work table with the middle white candle setting next to it in a safe candle holder. When the candle has finally burnt out, your book is ready to be used or put away for safe keeping.

This is now a talisman of power, not a mere book to shove back on the shelf. Thus you will need to treat it special and give it respect. I would wrap it in a white towel or silk sloth and place in a drawer somewhere until you need to use it. You could have a special pouch or slip case made for it to slide the book into when not in use and keep it near your work table.

Seeking A Balance Between Today's Greater and Lesser Authors

There's a trend in modern occultism for practitioners to want to settle only for scholarly material on the occult, as if letters behind a name signifies the author will be accurate and his methodology somehow foolproof. At the same time, there's a growing disdain for anything that doesn't smack of this intellectual elite.

We certainly do need to keep our minds fertile ground for new scholars rising up in the ranks among practitioners. Solid research is needed to convey historical data that, has often in the past, been purely in the realm of conjecture. Today we're seeing newer occult scholars who are gaining ground in learning ancient tongues and scripts which help decipher tablets, scrolls and texts that have often baffled non-occult scholars. Further these young researchers are purging ahead with deciphering not only scripts, but also symbols, glyphs and errata found on old talismans often thought undecipherable such as what Andy Foster has done with the Heilig Pentagram from the 6th & 7th Books of Moses grimoire.

Unfortunately people are wired for ‘either/or’ thinking being usually brought up that way by their parents and schooling and thus what is IN today is OUT when the next thing comes around the bend. So we have people who for years clamored for practical how-to information when all that was available was scholarly material on the occult most of which was historical. Then a shift came about a decade ago where these same folks began to take scholars more seriously since the scholars began to present more than just history, they started to show manuals that were buried in library and museum archives then brought them to the pubic eye. Today the shift has come full circle where nothing is seen worthwhile unless a professor’s name has letters after it which should not be the case since there are some worthwhile scholars rising who have yet to attain any sort of academic recognition.

To make matters worse, there are lesser works of magic and sorcery that are scorned by these intellectual elites (elitism?) who by their snobbery are now using their influence to literally shit on authors that have significance and validity even though these lesser authors are not academics. Granted the lesser authors have a easier time selling their materials as they often "pander to the lowest common denominator in society", quoted by a well known and outspoken ceremonial magicKian even though this same CM fails to realize that the lowest common denominator happens to be PEOPLE WITH PROBLEMS unlike himself who happens to be a deluded savior who thinks he walks on water.

The lesser works of sorcery have always been about helping people with how-to material. In fact, most all of the grimoires going all the way back to ancient Egypt have sorcerous spells that deal with day to day common things like:

  • obtaining love
  • success in business
  • guidance for knowledge/wisdom
  • dealing with adversaries
  • help with weather (for crops)
  • assistance with livestock
  • obtaining a favorable court judgment
  • and so on.

This is why people seek out sorcery and magic in the first place, not to become a scholar in it. The goal of a scholar is most admirable yet I do believe many who have attained this role have let it go to their head much like scholars of the past did when they became kooky and acted odd. After all, once you’re tops in your field, you can do whatever you wish and no one will say anything to you about your behavior. Don’t believe me? Read about the ancient philosophers and their quirky lives. Hell, look at the plethora of odd professors running around universities today acting strange and weird. Intellectuals often are a strange lot but we shouldn’t blame the bushel for a few bad apples.

The lesser works of sorcery do fill a need in our society, our metaphysical society, that must be filled. And yes it is quite true that there are charlatans afoot behind every rock waiting to take someone for every nickel they can bargain. Let’s face it, that is never going to go away. Look at all of the charlatans parading around in the mainstream religions folks; where do you think occult charlatans get their ideas from in the first place? (Why reinvent the wheel?) And to be fair, history has taught us that there have been no small amount of charlatans who posed as scholars to sell a book with false credentials. Medieval manuscripts teach us that there are numerous occult books attributed to the likes of Agrippa or Alpharabius who never penned yet their names are on these forgeries. This begs the question how many such instances of books will be brought forth once the likes of Owen Davies, Richard Kieckefer or Stephen Skinner are long gone? Say in 100 years someone may come out with another meaty manual of magic with Dr. Richard Kieckefer or our own Dr. Stephen Skinner’s name all over it even though he had nothing to do with it. Expect this WILL happen perhaps not with him but someone’s name will get used and most likely smeared as a result.

Scholarship unfortunately is not the handmaiden of practical workings. Why? Most scholars spend their time doing research in libraries and reading which is tedious work. Note taking and cross referencing materials is often drudgery and tiresome, I know because I’ve done this myself on occasion. It’s like why aren’t great mechanics good racers themselves? They build and maintain the vehicle but someone else takes the risks out on the track. The occult research scholar is the mechanic and the practitioner is the racer who takes the risks on the track. But let us remember too that some practitioners write books themselves and while their material isn’t scholarly it can often be usable and worthwhile.

Lately I’ve been turning on the members of my online discussion group to some old occultists that rarely got a chance to shine. Today these late, lesser known occultists get sneered at for various reasons by elitists and yet the members are trying these lesser works of sorcery and discovering for themselves that they have missed out. Many of them have been misinformed by scholars that such books are a waste of time and then taken on a wild ride of history which in itself is fascinating though often dry but has little practical application. The problem with this is when you have scholars preaching opinions instead of presenting facts from research. Some of them begin to sound like “Dr. Ken Hamm” clones who may seem to know what they’re talking about (when it comes to lesser magics)  but in the end they wind up sounding more like kooks bitching for the sake of complaining about the plethora of lesser works on the market.

Some of these lesser occultists have been authors from the  Parker Publishing world such as Anthony Norvell or Theodor Laurence and Geoff Gray-Cobb. I’ve also been introducing folks to the likes of Ophiel whose books on Astral Projection and Creative Visualization are legendary in many occult circles. Anthony Norvell had a strong run at Parker producing some memorable titles in healing and metaphysical uses of chakras. Geoff Gray-Cobb offered both a simple method of spirit summoning and a short catalog of spirits to summon for aid.

Other authors I plan to introduce will be a surprise but for now suffice to say that none of them are academics and they’re not bad authors in the least. Their material is sharp and spot on. Just because they’re not practicing Solomonic material does not exclude them from worthwhile study and use, especially for those of you who are interested in learning how to get things done without having to wait for the planets to align properly as the medieval practitioners most certainly did.

In closing, what I’d like for you to take away from this is to remember that both the greater and lesser authors as well as their works are needed in our metaphysical society. Not everything needs to be fixed with a spirit found in a 14th century manuscript nor must we always consult a post-modern book on sorcery to find answers to nagging questions. Just realize that the balance is a thin line that few dare to walk and none like to stand on for long else the crowd can become hostile wanting to take pot-shots. Employ some common sense and use your noggin. Research, study and grow. Also, be not afraid of modern authors because you may pick up something useful to add to your repertoire.
